UN SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy

Between 2000 and 2016, the number of people with electricity increased from 78 to 87 percent, and the numbers without electricity dipped to just below one billion.

Yet as the population continues to grow, so will the demand for cheap energy, and an economy reliant on fossil fuels is creating drastic changes to our climate.

Investing in solar, wind, and thermal power, improving energy productivity, and ensuring energy for all is vital if we are to achieve SDG 7 by 2030.

Expanding infrastructure and upgrading technology to provide clean and more efficient energy in all countries will encourage growth and help the environment.

Investment Strategy

We enable the modern energy transition, while we build value for our investors, developers, and local communities.

Greenfield Renewable Energy Projects

Greenfield renewable energy infrastructure projects in the fast-growing economies across Asia and Latin America as well as certain countries in Eastern Europe where we see scale, growth, and liquidity. With a term of ten years and a “build-and-exit” strategy, the fund will participate in completing late-stage development, finance construction, and ultimately divest once assets are operational.

Technologies include biomass, solar PV, transmission, waste to energy, store energy.

Long Term Renewable Energy Projects

Our long term portfolio strategy is tailor-made for investors seeking attractive risk-adjusted returns, as well as long-term, stable, and predictable cash flows with low correlation to the business cycle. The fund is invested in long-term contracted energy infrastructure in Europe, Asia, USA, Australia, and Taiwan.
